ELPRO Services, Inc. Celebrates 20th Anniversary

On June 14, ELPRO Services Inc., the subsidiary of ELPRO-BUCHS AG, celebrated 20 years of serving customers in the Americas.

For two decades, ELPRO Services, Inc. has been providing environmental monitoring solutions, cold supply chain data intelligence and consulting services to the world’s leading pharmaceutical, biotech/life science, healthcare and logistics industries to help ensure the delivery of safe and effective therapies and medications to patients worldwide. The company celebrated the milestone with a reception attended by U.S. customers, local and state dignitaries and business leaders.

Southeast Ohio Regional Liaison Bonnie Ward at Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted’s office presented a special proclamation officially recognized the company’s milestone with a special proclamation.
ELPRO-BUCHS AG CEO Josef Schmid and CSO Christoph Bamert were also on hand to share in the festivities and presented a Swiss cowbell as a traditional gift to commemorate the anniversary.

“We are thrilled and honored to celebrate our 20th anniversary in the U.S. this year,” said ELPRO Services, Inc., President and CEO Micalyn Harris. “Over the years, we have formed meaningful connections with customers throughout the Americas, which have become the backbone of our journey. We look forward to many more years of assisting our partners to remain compliant in their cold supply chain and provide safe and effective medications and therapies to patients,” Harris said.

Retired United States Army Major General Christopher J. Sharpsten also presented a special message during the reception. Sharpsten served as the Director of Operations for the U.S. Presidential COVID-19 Task Force, Operation Warp Speed, from 2020 to 2021 to accelerate the development and delivery of vaccines and therapeutics to America and its partner nations.

“During COVID, cold chain distribution and monitoring became household topics. It was well-known that certain vaccines had to be kept at ultra-cold temperatures, giving the public visibility into the importance of cold chain monitoring,” Harris noted. “ELPRO’s solutions and services support the patient by providing electronic data evidence that vaccines and medications have been kept at the proper temperature to maintain their efficacy. This data evidence is a regulatory requirement of the U.S. FDA,” Harris explains.

“With a special tie to cold chain vaccine distribution, we were pleased to bring Major General Chris Sharpsten to our community to share his insights about leadership and the importance of vaccine distribution,” Harris noted.

ELPRO’s U.S. headquarters was established as ELPRO Services, Inc. in 2003. With the idea of becoming a service organization focused on customer solutions. Beginning with just two owner/employees, ELPRO’s US footprint has grown exponentially over the last 20 years with employees in nine states and Canada.
