ELPRO organizes virtual charity run: ELPRO Virtual Run/Walk Race

Our ELPRO Branch Office USA organized a charity race to support research that aligns with our corporate mission to provide safe and effective medications to patients.

In partnership with The Galley and The Broughton Foundation in Marietta, Ohio, the Move Mountains for Cancer Research 5k supported Ohio State’s Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute who work every day to help find the cure.

Everyone’s life has been touched in some way by this disease. Managing Director of ELPRO Services in Marietta Ohio, and cancer survivor, Micalyn Harris, personally received treatment from the facility, known as “The James.” “I want to help patients like me achieve a better outcome and give back to the organization that saved my life,” said Harris. These efforts are all possible through cancer research, developing new therapies and clinical trials at OSU.”

Participants met at The Galley on October 29th for the race and after-party. Other participants were able to submit their time virtually any time in October.

“I am grateful for the support of our partners – The Broughton Foundation and The Galley – and all the sponsors and participants that joined our inaugural event this year. We had great weather and a great turnout for our onsite, and we look forward to seeing even more participation next year,” Harris noted. Participants from as far away as Wisconsin were even on-hand for the event.

The event was sponsored by Temple Challenge; Z106.1, G &H Inspections, LLC; Kincheloe Motors; Mother Earth Foods; Ancillare; Qdoba Mexican Eats; Zashin & Rich; Patti Johns Day Spa; Annetta Crawford, Real Estate Agent; Perfectly Pink; and Hughes Family Chiropractic.
