VITARIS AG and ELPRO-BUCHS AG announce a new partnership that will provide Swiss life science, biotech, healthcare and research laboratories with an end-to-end solution for the storage and monitoring of temperature‑sensitive products. Customers will now receive high‑quality PHCbi Refrigerators and deep freezers combined with ELPRO’s precise monitoring solutions – all from a single source.

The partnership emerged from the clear overlap in the markets and customers at ELPRO. Both VITARIS and ELPRO serve the pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare industries and collaborate with the same laboratories and research institutions. While VITARIS provides high‑quality refrigerators and ultra‑low freezers, ELPRO delivers the corresponding monitoring solutions. Especially in pharmaceutical quality control, storage and monitoring must work hand in hand.

The demand for complete system solutions became increasingly evident to VITARIS during customer discussions where inquiries for suitable data loggers accompanied requests for cooling equipment. “It was important for us to offer a holistic solution and expert advice – but the appropriate monitoring system had been missing,” explains Patrik Betschon, Head of Product Management at VITARIS.

Users will benefit directly from the new collaboration. “When ordering a PHCbi cooling device, an ELPRO data logger will now be included as standard,” Betschon notes.

Existing ELPRO customers receive everything from one source, and potential customers can expand their monitoring solutions at any time with additional ELPRO data loggers. This ensures a simpler, more efficient and seamlessly monitored day‑to‑day laboratory operation.

ELPRO Data Loggers and elproCLOUD Included as Standard

With every order of a PHCbi ULT refrigerator or chest freezer (-80 °C / -150 °C) placed through VITARIS, a complete monitoring solution will now be supplied.

“Customers receive an ELPRO data logger ECOLOG-PRO 1TGe with a calibrated external Pt‑100 probe as well as access to our elproCLOUD monitoring software,” Nuzzi explains. The software is scalable, wireless, and can be installed without IT support. Via web access, it provides real‑time insights into temperature and humidity, automated alarm notifications and reliable reporting.

A special offer:
ELPRO covers the software licence fees for each measurement point during the first year. Fees will only apply from the second year onwards – and only if the customer actively opts in.

Additional ELPRO data loggers – for example for incubators, climate chambers or refrigerators (-40 °C to +4 °C) – can also be obtained through VITARIS, again with free software licensing during the first year.
