ELPRO introduces elproMONITOR Cloud for the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector—scalable, GxP-compliant environmental monitoring, now available as a secure and cost efficient cloud solution.
ELPRO introduces elproMONITOR Cloud, the fully hosted SaaS version of its proven central monitoring platform. The cloud solution provides faster and easier access to professional, GxP compliant environmental monitoring for organizations of any size—without local servers, without complex IT dependencies, and with a flexible pay per sensor pricing model.
Traditional on-premises monitoring solutions offer full control over infrastructure but often come with significant limitations. Access is typically restricted to the corporate network or VPN; dependencies on internal IT teams can delay incident resolution, updates and qualifications; and new system requirements may impact the entire IT landscape. In addition, high initial investments often make on‑premises solutions economically viable only once a larger number of measurement points is reached.
elproMONITOR Cloud removes these barriers entirely. Instead of upfront infrastructure investments, customers pay an annual subscription fee per sensor for the software including hosting. This ensures full cost transparency, and, in many cases, significantly lower total costs compared to building and maintaining an in-house IT infrastructure.
“Our customers want reliable monitoring solutions—without the complexity behind them. With the cloud version, elproMONITOR becomes more accessible than ever while significantly reducing administrative effort.”
Sascha Schultes, Product Manager elproMONITOR, ELPRO
elproMONITOR Cloud is ready for use within a very short time and adapts easily to existing or growing monitoring requirements. Installations, updates and qualifications that previously required days, weeks or even months are now delivered as a fully managed service by ELPRO—allowing customers to focus on their core activities while ELPRO takes responsibility for operation, security and compliance.
Key benefits include:
Customers can choose the hosting model that best aligns with their processes and IT requirements:
The available hardware components—communication and power modules, sensors and probes—stand for the highest quality, robustness, and long-term reliable operation. They are designed for continuous use and enable a sustainable investment. In addition, flexible communication technologies ensure optimal adaptation to individual requirements.
elproMONITOR Cloud integrates seamlessly into a wide range of environments, from single laboratory rooms to complex, organization‑wide monitoring landscapes. It supports applications across the pharmaceutical, life sciences and healthcare industries, including warehouses, manufacturing areas, cleanrooms, pharmacies, hospitals and research facilities.
The economical pay per sensor model and the scalability of the solution (from one sensor to unlimited), make it the perfect solution for customers who need cost and growth flexibility. This makes it the right choice from the very first sensor—for lean setups with a few monitoring points as well as for large, highly regulated infrastructures—without infrastructure limitations and with long-term future readiness.

ELPRO provides defined migration options and guidance to support the transfer of historical data from on‑premises systems to elproMONITOR Cloud, ensuring data integrity and compliance during the transition.
Yes. ELPRO supports customers with tools and procedures for transferring historical monitoring data when moving from an on‑premises deployment to the cloud.
Historical data portability is supported. Customers can discuss migration or continued access options with ELPRO to ensure long‑term data availability and traceability.
In many cases, elproMONITOR Cloud is compatible with existing ELPRO monitoring hardware. A system review is recommended to confirm compatibility and identify any required upgrades.
Not necessarily. Most existing infrastructures can continue to be used, though some scenarios may require updates depending on hardware generation and use case.
The system is designed to handle temporary connectivity interruptions. Data and alarms are managed locally and synchronized once connectivity is restored, depending on system configuration.
elproMONITOR Cloud supports use cases with intermittent connectivity by ensuring data continuity and alarm functionality through buffering and local handling mechanisms.
The cloud solution is designed for regulated (GxP) environments. Revalidation is typically required but can often leverage existing validation documentation and ELPRO’s qualification materials to reduce effort.
ELPRO follows established quality standards and provides documentation to support QA, compliance, and audit requirements for regulated customers.
elproMONITOR Cloud is designed to provide equivalent core functionality, with some features adapted or enhanced for a cloud architecture.
In addition to standard measurement and monitoring, the platform supports trend analysis and continuous development toward advanced analytics capabilities.
Yes. While both share the same functional foundation, the cloud version may have a different user interface and cloud‑optimized workflows.
User interfaces may differ depending on version, feature availability, and rollout stage. ELPRO regularly enhances the platform based on customer feedback.
Yes. The platform supports native alert notifications via email and SMS.
The system supports configurable notification paths and escalation rules to ensure critical events are addressed promptly.
Alarm handling is designed to continue locally during connectivity interruptions, with notifications and synchronization occurring once connectivity is restored, depending on configuration.
Integration with corporate identity management systems, such as Microsoft ENTRA ID, is supported. Microsoft ENTRA ID is the Active Directory for SaaS environments.
Data is hosted in secure, compliant cloud environments (Microsoft Azure). Regional data hosting options may be available depending on customer requirements.
ELPRO strictly adheres to international data protection and regulatory requirements and can provide guidance on data residency, access controls, and compliance implications.
The system supports efficient configuration workflows, allowing users to manage and apply alarm profiles across sensor groups where applicable.
elproMONITOR Cloud is offered as a SaaS (Software‑as‑a‑Service) subscription.
Pricing is related to sensor licenses per year, as a so called “pay as you grow approach”. Therefore, elproMONITOR Cloud is available and attractive even for small businesses.
Yes. The cloud solution is distributed through ELPRO’s standard sales and partner network.
