Philipp Osl has been appointed the new CEO of ELPRO-BUCHS AG (and ELPRO Group), a leading global provider of environmental monitoring solutions serving the pharmaceutical, life science and healthcare industries. He will officially begin that role on September 1, the company has announced.
Philipp Osl has been with ELPRO since 2017 and most recently served as the company’s head of product management. In that role, he was instrumental in leading initiatives that strengthened and positioned product management as a key link between the global markets ELPRO serves, product development, production and quality.
“He is an integrative, solution-oriented, team player who works with great commitment to our customers and employees,” says former ELPRO CEO Beat Rudolf. “The board of directors and our entire management team has great confidence in Philipp.”
Beat Rudolf will continue to serve on the board of directors along with co-owner and Head of Strategy and Marketing Martin Peter.
“Along with his managerial skills, Philipp brings a wealth of experience in software development and digital customer services. Together with the current management team, he will continue to lead the success story of ELPRO,” Martin Peter underlined.
Philipp Osl is 38 years old, married, has two daughters and resides in Vorarlberg, Austria. He studied business information technology at the Technical University in Vienna, Austria. After a research stay at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Mass., he received his doctorate in economics at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

One of Philipp Osl’s first initiatives as CEO will be to drive the go-to-market strategy for ELPRO’s new mobile IoT real-time data logger family, LIBERO Gx. His past and current leadership on the company’s new multi-use Cx series of Bluetooth-enabled LIBERO data loggers and new Cloud-based monitoring solutions, will also continue to build ELPRO’s successful product portfolio.
