ELPRO, a long-standing partner to the pharmaceutical industry for 30+ years, will be attending the 15th annual TechNet Conference October 16-20 in Cascais, Portugal. The focus of the conference is, “Building the next generation of immunization supply chains”.
To assist countries around the world receiving different vaccines, WHO has created guidance to standardize monitoring devices and their labeling. Clear blue and yellow labels are used for specific vaccines, including clear instructions on how to read the device to ensure vaccines are safe to use.
During the conference, ELPRO will display two new solutions that are ideal for the low-cost, quality control requirements of temperature controlled vaccines through to the last mile: the LIBERO WHO Type 1 & 2; and the LIBERO ITS Indicator.
The LIBERO WHO Type 1 & 2 data loggers, are part of the LIBERO C family of temperature monitoring devices, which have been pre-qualified by WHO. These new loggers are pre-configured with Type 1 or 2 profile, set to correct logging interval, password protected and provide a visual go/no go decision. The required shipment information card is also accompanied with the logger. The difference with the LIBERO WHO Type 1 & 2 loggers, is they act like an indicator, but offer additional benefits because they are data loggers. Loggers (not indicators) provide point by point raw data including the full temperature curve to give greater visibility into shipment performance, allowing for collection of data across multiple shipments and lanes for analysis and trending.
The LIBERO ITS is ELPRO’s new long-term indicator, thin and durable to attach at unit-level; making it all the way from point of manufacture to a patient’s refrigerator, or on a clinical kit to patient administration. It provides one-touch stability budget read-out showing percentage of budget used; alleviating piecing together different Time out of Refrigeration (TOR) segments. Data is read wirelessly from any Smartphone, where the PDF report can be emailed, printed or uploaded to the liberoMANAGER cloud database. As simple, or as smart as you want it.
