| Netviewer makes software
support very easy. There is no need for typical questions such as
"What's on your screen?" or "At which step are you?",
since the support person can see this for himself. |

Viewing Direction
Once the software has been started, the customer sees the support
person's screen. The customer is in watch mode and the support person
is in show mode. The viewing direction can be changed by mouse-click.
Before the customer can show his screen for the first time, he must
explicitly confirm this function. Then the viewing direction can be
changed at any time. |
 |
Pointer
If the watch mode user (the user who is looking at the other person's
screen) wants to indicate something to the shower on the screen, he
simply clicks on the desired spot, and a flashing arrow appears for
three seconds on the screen. |
 |
Application selection
Initially, all applications can be seen by the watch mode user, but
the task bar is hidden (blacked out). During a session, the show mode
user can hide particular applications. Instead of the application,
the watch mode user sees a black window. |
 |
Enabling / Disabling of remote control
The show mode user can allow the watch mode user remote control of his PC. This gives the watch mode user the control of all visible applications. Any permission which has been granted can be withdrawn at any time by pressing the F12 key. |

Extended user interface – the Netviewer control panel
Parallel to the familiar small operating panel, there is now also a control panel with preview monitor, chat and notes
fields, a favourites list, and file transfer. As standard, the Netviewer mini panel is docked onto the control panel and
serves as a handle to expand the control panel or make it disappear to the edge of the screen. The extended user
interface can be opened up by clicking on the red area of the mini panel or on the “Expand panel” button (<<). It can
be closed again by clicking on the “Contract panel” (>>) button. |
