Functionality

1.	Readings and alarms are transferred in real-time over the LAN/Wireless LAN network. Within elproLOG MONITOR, all data is collected and processed.
2.	elproLOG MONITOR displays all data points in real-time.
3.	In the case of out-of-specification conditions, elproLOG MONITOR automatically sends alarms via e-mail or telephone.

Alarm Interface

The alarm interface is connected to a USB port of the monitoring station.

Alarm forwarding: For alarm forwarding, the alarm interface offers two dry change-over contacts.

Alarm repetition, alarm delay: The alarm interface can be configured to continuously repeat alarms or to send the alarms with a time delay.

Watchdog functionality: For highest security, the alarm interface offers a watchdog function to self-monitor the system.

Alarm Functions

The system offers the highest security and various different alarm functions. From local alarms at the datalogger using an alarm flash to forwarding alarms using the alarm interface, the ELPRO Central Monitoring System ensures that you are notified should a problem occur.

Locale Alarm at the Datalogger: ECOLOG-NET dataloggers with alarm functions can be used to directly connect alarm devices, such as alarm flashes or automatic telephone dialing units.

Central Alarming: elproLOG MONITOR offers multiple ways to forward an alarm should an out-of-specification condition occur. Alarm functions: through e-mail, by telephone (with alarm interface and automatic telephone dialing unit), to building management systems (with alarm interface), through SMS/Fax (with SMS Gateway).

Alarm Acknowledgement

With elproLOG MONITOR, each alarm can be acknowledged separately. The software allows detailed commenting of every alarm event. All information is automatically stored in the elproLOG EVENT database.

Logging / Audit Trail

All parameter changes and system events like alarms, warnings and acknowledgements are recorded automatically in the elproLOG EVENT* database to ensure traceability.

* If elproLOG EVENT is not available on the system, logging is done using a local log file.
